The Miami Bayside Foundation, a nonprofit organization designed to advance economic development in the City of Miami through the support of minority businesses and education, launched a microloan program for City of Miami minority businesses. The program will provide loans in amounts of $2,500 to $10,000 with eighteen to twenty-four month terms.

The Miami Bayside Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to stimulate economic development in the City of Miami through the support of minority businesses and education, this week awarded a gift of $50,000 to Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Inc. (NFTE), an internationally recognized organization that provides programs meant to inspire students from low-income communities to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities and to plan successful futures.

The Miami Bayside Foundation recently announced a gift of $50,000 to Breakthrough Miami, an award-winning organization that provides a tuition-free, eight-year academic enrichment program serving motivated students from disadvantaged communities in 5th to 12th grade. The funds will be allocated over the course of five years, $10,000 per year, to programs located in the City of Miami and benefiting the organization’s City of Miami minority students.
